Hirst Farms Ltd

We farm in East Norfolk on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. Because of our coastal location and sandy, clay, loam soils we can grow late season salad crops up until the end of the UK season in November.

Cropping – Salads, Wheat, Barley, Potatoes, Sugar Beet and Peas. We also have a Livery Yard and run a Maize Maze in the summer holidays!

The farm is now in Higher Level Stewardship, which means that we have about 8% of farmed area providing habitats for wildlife and insects. These areas range from reclaimed railway line embankments to blocks of land sown with flower and grass mixes. These areas provide pollen nectar for insects and nesting sites for birds and animals. We have also created a series of walks around field margins that provide about 6km of access to the public around the farm.

We are members of Leaf Marque, Tesco Nature and Assured Produce.
